Constructing Gene Information File
A Gene Information File is a tabular text file, annotating all the probe sets of a given Affymetrix array type. Each line of it contains the annotation information of a probe set, including Genbank ID, LocusLink ID, gene name, GO terms, protein domain terms, signaling pathways, cytoband and Affymetrix descriptions. The table below shows how a Gene Information File looks like.

Click on Menu "Annotation => Gene Information File", and the following dialog will show up.

Clicking on the boxes for file names, the user is allowed to choose the file names of a NetAffx file and a GO file from its computer. These files are obtained by Accessing Online Databases.
Special note: For the GO structure file to be acceptable by GoSurfer, please use Excel to re-order its rows so that the second column is in ascending alphabetical order.
